My Fur-Real Pack!

Do you know anyone who'd choose to come outside with the biggest smile in freezing rain and howling winds and get soaked and cold just to give you a treat?

I do. It's my special friend Pete.

And he's not just special because he gives me treats rain or shine, but he also gives me so much love and teaches me fun new things.

Do you know anyone willing and smart enough of taking you to get a drive-through treat and see a special friend during the rainiest of storms, because it's one of the best parts of your day? I think this is like ordering an Uber, except it's for free.

I do. That's my Mama.

I didn't even know drive-through treats were a thing — I thought they were just for coffee and cream! But not when you have a Mama like mine.

That's when it hit me like a tennis ball on my head — Mama and I have something special that most pups and probably hoomas, too, only dream of having. A fur-real pack of extra special friends who've always got Mama's back and my wagging tail no matter what!

Like my home away from home, fun family who love me so much, always take me on new and exciting adventures. And my first hooman Mama, who made Mama and me a family and is still in our lives as a friend and dog-whisperer. And the friend who helps me communicate even better with Mama when impawtent things are going on in my life, and the friend I've known since the day I came home, and lets me join her and Mama for a pupachino and listen to their interesting stories and head-spinning thoughts, and who's always there for Mama no matter what. And the friend who keeps me company when Mama has to go out, so I'm not lonely or scared, and feel safe and secure.

And there's even our fur-real pack who live far away, from the East Coast to the West Coast and all around the world. I've learned how lucky I am to have such a pawsome fur-real pack - where everyone is different but somehow all the love and support fit together and make things richer and happier. But Mama reminded me that it's not luck but the intention of making the effort to find special people and be for them in rain and shine, just like they'll be there for you. She said people can also be loyal and loving like all the pawsome dogs in the world. This is the type of fur-real pack you want in your life. They make winning more possible and life so much better.

But how do you know your fur-real pack is really fur-real?

Because they won't be there only when life is pawsome - when it's easy and fun and you have extra special days to celebrate and enjoy, they'll also be there when life gets ruff, like when Mama was sick and I couldn't see her for three weeks, and then she couldn't take me for walks for another 6 weeks. Or when she travels far away for what feels like forever. Or when something happens that you could never see coming - BUT through it all, my world doesn't fall apart, meals still show up, walks still happen, and I have all I need.

That's when you know your fur-real pack isn't just strong but also storm-proof and as certain in your life as never not having treats every day.

1. Attract your fur-real pack before life's storms.

2. It's not about how many are in your pack, but how pawsome they are.

3. Be there for your friends just like they are for you.
